How it works
A handplant done on flat ground rather than on a wall. The rider holds the board in one hand, goes into a one-handed handstand on the floor, brings the board under their feet and comes down on top of it - an invert without a coping to do it on, and a way of getting onto the board rather than a trick done while already riding. The hard variation is the yo-yo plant.
Step by step
- Stand still holding the board in one hand.
- Plant the other hand on the ground and kick up into a one-handed handstand.
- Bring the board underneath your feet while inverted.
- Come down out of the handstand onto the board.
- Absorb the landing and ride away.
Body mechanics
| Front foot | Off the board for the whole handstand, then finds the bolts on the way down. |
