Shown for a regular-footed rider. Teal ring + arrow = the rider's facing direction; teal band = the tail; a dot is where a hand holds the board - bright yellow for the front hand, amber for the back one, which is the whole difference between a mute and an indy. Board and rider rotate independently - each follows its own component. Drag to orbit.
How it works
A pressure flip taken round a full 360. The roll is levered off the tail rather than flicked with the front foot, so the whole trick - a full board rotation and a full turn of yaw - comes out of back-foot pressure alone.
Step by step
- Set the back foot across the tail, toes hanging over the heel edge.
- Press down and scoop hard enough for a full 360.
- Let the pressure roll the board over as it goes round.
- Keep the front foot out of it entirely.
- Catch level over the bolts and roll away.
Body mechanics
| Front foot | Does nothing but wait - using it makes this an ordinary 360 flip. |
|---|---|
| Back foot | Supplies the roll and the whole 360 through pressure on the tail's edge. |
| Shoulders | Square and still. |
| Arms | Level, balancing a board driven from one corner. |
| Gaze | On the tail through the scoop. |
