Shown for a regular-footed rider. Teal ring + arrow = the rider's facing direction; teal band = the tail; a dot is where a hand holds the board - bright yellow for the front hand, amber for the back one, which is the whole difference between a mute and an indy. Board and rider rotate independently - each follows its own component. Drag to orbit.
How it works
A laser flip with a frontside 180 of the body in the same direction: the board goes round 540 frontside with a heelflip through it while the rider turns half of that. Felipe Gustavo filmed a switch version for the Trickipedia section of The Berrics.
Step by step
- Roll in and set up as for a laser flip with the back foot deep in the pocket.
- Scoop frontside hard and start the body's 180 with it.
- Flick the heel out to put the roll through the spin.
- Stop the shoulders at 180 and let the board carry on round.
- Catch it as it comes level and ride away fakie.
Body mechanics
| Front foot | Flicks the heel out across the nose, then comes back for the catch. |
|---|---|
| Back foot | Scoops the whole 540 frontside. |
| Shoulders | Turn exactly 180 and stop - the extra 360 is the board's, not yours. |
| Arms | Open frontside to lead the turn, then close to check it. |
| Gaze | Over the leading shoulder, then down as the board comes round. |
