Shown for a regular-footed rider. Teal ring + arrow = the rider's facing direction; teal band = the tail; a dot is where a hand holds the board - bright yellow for the front hand, amber for the back one, which is the whole difference between a mute and an indy. Board and rider rotate independently - each follows its own component. Drag to orbit.
How it works
An inward heelflip with two full heelflip rotations inside the same backside shove-it. The shove gives the board only as long as one 180 takes, so the second roll has to be got out of the same flick rather than a longer one. Carell Harvey was filmed doing it at 1,000 frames per second in 2011.
Step by step
- Set up as for an inward heelflip, front foot angled for a hard heel flick.
- Pop and scoop backside, flicking much harder than a single needs.
- Watch for two full rolls to pass while the board is still going round.
- Drop the back foot as the second roll finishes.
- Catch level and ride out.
Body mechanics
| Front foot | One flick, twice the speed - a second push would slow the shove. |
|---|---|
| Back foot | Pops and stays high to leave the board room for two rolls. |
| Shoulders | Held square through the whole thing. |
| Arms | Out slightly; the board travels further from the body than a single does. |
| Gaze | Counting rolls, not watching the shove. |
