Shown for a regular-footed rider. Teal ring + arrow = the rider's facing direction; teal band = the tail; a dot is where a hand holds the board - bright yellow for the front hand, amber for the back one, which is the whole difference between a mute and an indy. Board and rider rotate independently - each follows its own component. Drag to orbit.
How it works
A hardflip with a backside 360 of the body around it. The hardflip's frontside shove and the body's backside 360 pull opposite ways, so the board's absolute heading only shifts 180 while the rider goes all the way round - which is what makes it read as a different trick rather than a hardflip with a spin added.
Step by step
- Set up as for a hardflip with the front foot angled steeply.
- Pop and shove frontside while throwing the shoulders backside.
- Let the board come up vertically between the legs as usual.
- Keep the 360 going while the board sorts itself out underneath.
- Spot it level late and land on the bolts.
Body mechanics
| Front foot | Flicks the hardflip's kickflip and then gets clear of a board coming through the legs. |
|---|---|
| Back foot | Shoves frontside against a body turning backside. |
| Shoulders | Drive a full 360 backside - against the board, not with it. |
| Arms | Wrap hard backside to get the full turn round. |
| Gaze | Comes back to the board only in the last quarter of the body's turn. |
